Whenever I start to feel overwhelmed, I come back to my grounding techniques especially 5-4-3-2-1. When we are stressed, it is more difficult to work effectively let alone play. So, the mindfulness technique for this week is aimed to help you calm yourself using both mindfulness and your surroundings.

5 Things you see around you

4 Things you can touch

3 Things you can hear

2 Things you can smell

1 Thing you can taste



For me, finding accessible quick ways to practice mindfulness especially with minimal equipment is extremely important. I hope this technique will help those who are looking for something similar. Remember the importance of PLAY!
